Product Glossary
Here you will find the explanation of all the terminologies used in Pulse.
Sources
Sources refers to platforms such as Amazon Selling Partner, Shopify, and Google Ads where your data is generated. This data can then be extracted and analyzed to provide valuable insights.
Brand
A brand refers to the name of the company or entity using Pulse to create dashboards. Each brand has unique data sources that can be utilized to prepare their dashboards. A user can add and manage multiple brands on Pulse.
Integration
Integration refers to the process of connecting different data sources to Pulse, so they can work together seamlessly. A source can have multiple integration for different region, marketplace or brands.
Active Integration
Active represents the status of an integration. An Active integration can either be synced or have an error.
Synced Integration
A Synced integration means that the data source is currently connected and functioning correctly, providing data to your system or dashboard in real-time or according to a set schedule.
Error (With an Integration)
An error means that the integration has encountered a problem preventing it from functioning properly. As a result, data from this source is not being updated or is unreliable until the error is resolved.
There are three types of errors:
- Sync Error
- Auth Error
- System Error
Sync Error
A sync error occurs when there is a problem with synchronizing data between sources and Pulse. This can result from connectivity issues, or interruptions during the data transfer process, preventing the successful update or alignment of data.
Sync issues can be resolved by re-syncing.
Auth Error
An auth error, or authentication error, happens when there is a failure in the process of verifying user credentials or access permissions. This can occur due to incorrect login details, expired tokens, or insufficient access rights, leading to the inability to access the desired system, service, or data source.
Auth errors can be resolved by re-authenticating the source.
System Error
A system error is a generic error indicating a malfunction within the underlying system or infrastructure.
To fix a system error, raise a ticket with the support team.
Paused Integration
A paused integration has been temporarily halted or suspended. This means that data updates from this source are currently stopped, due to manual intervention. The data flow from this source can be resumed when necessary, allowing updates to continue from where they left off.
You can choose to pause an active integration or un-pause a paused integration.
Access token
An access token is a type of credential used in authentication and authorization. It is typically a string of characters that grants the holder access to a specific resource or set of resources for a certain period of time.
Dashboard
Dashboards consolidates and displays data from various sources in a unified, easy-to-understand format, providing a comprehensive view of key metrics and insights at a glance.
Destination
Data warehouse where processed data is sent or stored after it has been transformed and analysed.
Saras Managed Warehouse
This warehouse is owned and managed by Saras. Your transformed data remains stored in the Saras Managed Warehouse for the duration of your use of Pulse; when the subscription ends you will lose the access to the data and the data will be deleted in three months.
Request Data Access
By requesting data access, you can query and access the data stored in the Saras Managed Warehouse. This will be helpful for you if you want to build your own dashboards using or by modifying our modelled data.
You need to have a GCS account to access the data.
Add Warehouse
Enterprise users have the option to add their own warehouse. Upon doing so, all data will be stored in the chosen warehouse. This is beneficial if you already have data in your warehouse and want to combine it with our modelled data to create and power new dashboards.
