You can now use Saras iQ without leaving your favorite workspace—Slack. 

Pre-requisite

You need to be an iQ Admin to see the option to integrate with Slack.  

Steps to Connect Slack with iQ

1. Click Integrate with Slack on the Navigation Panel. 

Or you can also go to Settings → Integrations → Find Slack → Click Connect 

This option to integrate iQ with Slack will only be visible to an iQ Admin. 

2. You will see two options:

• If you're not a Slack workspace admin, copy the approval link and send it to your Slack admin so they can approve the iQ app on your behalf.

If you're a Slack workspace admin, select the second option and approve the iQ app.

After authorization, you will be redirected back to iQ and see a confirmation message indicating that Slack has been successfully connected. Your will also receive a notification on Slack confirming that the iQ app has been successfully added to your workspace.

Using iQ in Slack

You can use iQ in Slack in two ways:

• In Direct Message (DM): Chat one-on-one with the iQ Agent in Slack.
• In Channels: Add the iQ Agent to a public or private channel to ask questions and collaborate with your team.

To Chat in DM, Search for the iQ Agent in Slack and start chatting. 
Follow the Steps below to add it to any channel and chat.

a. Add the iQ bot to any Slack channel. In the channel, type @iQ and press Enter.

b. Type @iQ to invoke the app, then ask your question—iQ will respond in a thread.

c. Continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions in the same thread.

Removing iQ from A channel 
To remove iQ from any channel it has already been added to:

1. Type /remove @iQ

2. Send the message

3. Confirm the removal

Disconnecting Slack

1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Integrations
3. Select Disconnect
